MAT Mondial was contracted by the ICRC to train its regional mine action advisors. The training took place at the MAT Mondial EOD & de-mining School in Kosovo over an intense 3-week period. The bespoke training package was developed to the client’s needs and included humanitarian imperatives for mine action, EOD to intermediate level and quality control and quality management of national mine action programmes. During this same period MAT Mondial was contracted by a UK police force to train its bomb disposal team in up-to-date techniques for managing and planning incidents, tasking assets and dealing with a myriad of ordnance from WW2 abandoned ammunition. This training, at the clients request, also featured training the police specialist personnel in reacting and responding to incidents to counter the improvised explosive device threat – the use of C-IED weapons and dealing with chemical, radiological, biological and nuclear devices. At the request of the client the training was held in the UK .
